Privacy Policy

Last updated May 15, 2026

Your trust is the whole product. This policy lays out, in plain language, exactly what we collect and how we protect it.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how BidZero, Inc. ("BidZero", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our autonomous bidding platform and related services (the "Service"). We have written it to be readable by humans, not just lawyers.

By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use BidZero.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service and help you win freelance projects.

  • Account data: your name, email, and account settings.
  • Freelancer connections: OAuth tokens that let BidZero bid on your behalf, plus the public profile we sync (headline, skills, rate, bio). Tokens are encrypted at rest; we never store your Freelancer password.
  • AI provider keys (BYOK): keys you add are validated live and encrypted at rest. The secret is never shown again and your AI usage is billed by your provider, not us.
  • Bidding activity: your rules, the projects fetched and scored, the proposals generated, and the bids drafted or submitted, so we can show you a complete log.
  • Usage data: basic analytics about how you use the dashboard, used to improve the product.

3. How we use your information

  • To run the auto-bid pipeline and place bids according to your rules and chosen mode.
  • To call your selected AI provider, with your key, for scoring and proposal writing.
  • To provide support and respond to your requests.
  • To send service updates and, if you opt in, product news.
  • To detect, prevent, and address security or fraud issues.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not resell AI, and we take no commission on the projects you win.

4. How we protect your data

AI keys and Freelancer OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and in transit with industry-standard TLS. Data is isolated per user, connections can be revoked from your dashboard, and every bid is logged for your review.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can exercise most of these directly in your account settings, or by contacting us.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the product before they take effect.
